​​The Tavern has been a family owned and operated tea house in Botetourt County, Virginia since 2005. We recently had the opportunity to move our business to the historic Preston Place in Salem, Virginia. The Preston Place, owned by the Salem Historic Society, is the perfect home for our tea house and gift shop.

​​We offer a very limited but perfected menu. Our locally famous chicken salads served with our Paesano breads freshly baked in house, specialty bagel sandwiches and various "made from scratch" desserts are but a few reasons our loyal, precious regulars come back time after time. Our loose teas are packaged in house and blended with all natural flavors, fruits and herbs and the finest teas available.
